After last week’s cancellation (for which we apologise), week 10 takes us back to the Sportsman’s for the Cùchulainn Stage. We’ve taken “poetic licence” to rename it from the Queen Stage that’s present in the Grand Tour races.
The race was scheduled for an amalgamation of our most common circuits; namely the Sportsman’s Loop, Ravensdale Loop and then with a new finish up to the LWG from Glenmore, but alas our plans have been scuppered by Louth County Council who decided to “resurface” (sort of) the roads in the area
Through necessity, we’re making some amendments to the route. Subject to any further changes to road conditions, the Round will play out as follows.
Groups 4/5/6 depart for 2 loops of the Sportsman’s Circuit.
After one full loop (as Group 6 pass for the 1st time), Group 1 will start immediately followed by G2 then G3.
Groups 4/5/6 will then complete a second full lap, and then head for The Bush and up Glenmore. Similarly, Groups 1/2/3 will do the same…
In short, all groups will go around Majors Hollow roundabout twice, and then onto The Bush.
We’ll go through this later on at rollout with everyone…
Padraic Murphy (+353 86 8243163) is your lead marshal (Group 4) this week, and if you’re on duty, you should have received a text already. If you haven’t already done so, please make contact with Padraic to confirm your attendance.
Sign on at Sportsmans, opens at 18:15 and closes at 18:45 sharp. Marshal, please try to arrive earlier than the riders to be allocated marshal locations.
Riders: Armbands and Chips all round please….
Safe riding, and see you all Thursday
