September 1st saw the start of the Irish Cyclocross season, kicking off in Kilternan, Co. Dublin and Dunleer based Cuchulainn man Aaronn McCann was in action in the B race. While he posted a good result to finish 10th, it was more a case of what might have been. Pick of the results was Nessa McCrystal in her first ever bike race, where she finished 4th in the under 10s. Meanwhile in the adult races Annette Dolan was 14th in the women's race, going one better than her husband Liam who was 15th in the B race, which also featured Karl Dolan & PJ Hynes, with Hynes also finishing in the top 20 in a feild of over 70 riders.
