Ray Fedigan takes his second win of the season

Liam Dolan in action in the Brefini Wheelers 10mile Time Trial

Another week and another top class performance for Ray Fedigan in the Irish Veterans league. The 3rd round of the league was a 75km road race held in Co. Meath and despite a furious pace coupled with constant attacks, the race came down to a bunch sprint. As he did 2 weeks ago, Ray was the quickest man there and took his second win of the campaign, to go with his 3rd place of the week before. In the same race Jimmy Flynn finished in the same bunch further down the field.

In the other race on the same day, Alan Gray had another good outing with 6th place, while his father Martin finished further down the field.

On the open racing season, Navan Road Club ran their rescheduled Meath Grand Prix event. The road race had been one of the many sporting victims of the recent "Beast from the East" weather. In the A4 event Darren Kelly McCann was riding strongly throughout and put in a great performance to finish in 5th position.

Meanwhile in Ulster Liam Dolan took part in the Brefini Wheelers 10mile time trial and came home some 13 seconds behind the winner, Newry's Sean Featherstone, to take 3rd place.
