Pink Ribbon Cycle Moynalty

Sandra McKeever Rogers and I did the Pink Ribbon Cycle in Moynalty yesterday (3rd Sept 2016). We had such a lovely fun enjoyable day. Heavy rain was forecast for the day but it didn't put us off. As it happens the rain wasn't too bad, you didn't notice it after a while. We had a lovely warm breeze to make up for it.

Moynalty was sprinkled with pink glamour for the day and made for a lovely welcome. Lads got into the spirit by dressing up. Hmm I wonder who will win the prize for the 'Best Dressed Lady'. We were wearing pink - I promise...but we were covered up for most of the day. We even got a free pink t-shirt.

We started off with a group warm-up for a few minutes - loads of stretching and jumping.  We did the 70km route but a 30km route was also available. The group stayed together for the first half at a comfortable pace and was broken up for the second half. I can't remember the exact route but we did pass through Skryne. And there were a few sneaky hills and roly polys along the way.

We got back to base where we were greeted with hot soup and rolls and every type of cake/ scone/ pastries you can think of. What a great way to end the day. Thank You V Much to Moynalty CC for hosting the Pink Ribbon Cycle. Despite the weather it was a fun enjoyable day and one that I'll definitely be doing again next year.
