Over the halfway stage in this year’s League, and we make our first visit to an every tough circuit; Long Womans Grave. On two occasions last year the weather gods abandoned us and it may very well be the case for the first visit this year. Indeed it was on this circuit that we had the fewest riders of the whole 2015 season last year.
Frantic speeds and glorious weather last week resulted in PR’s for many people on the Greenore circuit, but also resulted in more Group moves (details later).
In Race 1, Declan Gollogly followed by Conor McKeown (both Cùchulainn CC) took 1st and 2nd respectively, with Jonathan Carroll (Armagh Down CC) preventing a clean sweep for the local club.
Race 2 was again taken by William Loughlin (Armagh Down CC), followed by Peter O’Donoghue (Cùchulainn CC) in 2nd and Brian Grogan (White River Wheelers CC) in 3rd.
William extends his already impressive lead yet again and with 8 races to go is in a commanding position at the top of the leaderboard.
