Covid-19 Update: Phase 3 - July 3rd 2020

The recently announced revised roadmap has resulted in most activity now being moved to Phase 3 beginning on Monday June 29th.

The announcement has allowed for the return of regular club activities including organised club group training and racing.

Gerry Mc Crory, our club Welfare Officer, has kindly agreed to act as our COVID-19 liaison officer.  The liaison officer is responsible for staying up to date on community and Provincial recommendations and any associated changes. Gerry can be contacted on 087-4114037.

Before participating in your next club activityall members are required to complete the following steps:

1.

Complete theCovid19 eLearning Course  developed by Sport Ireland.
(This has to done just once).

2.

Witrhin 24 hours of each cycle, complete a  Self-Assessment Personal Screening Questionnaire.
(This takes 1 minute to complete).

3.

To assist with contact tracing, group rides must be booked in advance using the Cycling Ireland Booking System.
(It can be done up to a week in advance and only takes a minute).

To further enhance our contact tracing, we ask that each Road Captain take a photograph of the group and send it to our COVID-19 Liaison Officer, Gerry Mc Crory using WhatsApp.

We would ask members to observe the following until further notice:

·

Please form smaller groups (max 8) than you normally would have pre-Covid19.

·

If at all possible, can you please stick to the same people in your groups for a few weeks, just in case of the need for a traceability exercise.

·

Please continue to observe the Government advice regarding hygiene and social distancing.

While group training activities and events are returning, Covid-19 remains a highly contagious and debilitating virus, and in some cases a fatal one. A return to club activities is on an ‘opt-in’ basis only. Members should consider their own circumstances and assume personal responsibility when deciding to partake in club activities.
